Botswana, the host country for PCF11, permits both visa-exempt and visa-based entry for international travelers. However, attending a conference typically requires obtaining a specific business visa, even for individuals whose passports ordinarily allow visa-free visits. The Botswana eVisa platform is available for online applications, and participants are strongly advised to verify and fulfill all relevant requirements well in advance.
Visa regulations and entry requirements are subject to change without prior notice. Delegates must consult official Botswana government sources, including relevant websites, to remain current on the latest stipulations and procedures. In some instances, vaccination documentation (e.g., for yellow fever) may be mandated for entry into Botswana. It is the delegate’s responsibility to comply with any applicable health or vaccination requirements.
Visa Invitation Letter Request
For delegates who have completed all registration requirements (including providing evidence of payment of relevant fees or an approved sponsorship), the Forum co-hosts can consider issuing an official visa support letter. However, payment of registration fee and/or acceptance of a proposal does not guarantee that an entry visa to Botswana will be issued. Therefore, it should be made sure that all information given is very clear and genuine.
Each delegate is responsible for contacting the Botswana visa application centre serving their respective country regarding the application process.
Only individuals who are planning to enter Botswana on authentic PCF11 attendance (as fully registered delegates) will be considered for the issuance of a support document from the co-hosts for visa purposes.
Please make sure that you start the procedure early enough to have time to provide the requested documents and have your application reviewed and a decision issued before departure.
